I do have a suggestion on making the sales section a bit safer. This idea I got from a tech forum I frequently browse where laptops ($600 USD and up) and computer parts are frequently bought and sold. Although most figure don't reach that amount, the principle is still the same; to protect both honest sellers and buyers.

Thanks kumasanmk for keeping the scam list updated.

When making a sales ad, it should be required for the seller to post a picture of the actual item and a small note card/piece of paper next to it with the seller's username written on it and MFC. They also have an option of posing the figure next to a computer screen with their username on the computer screen.

I've provided two examples.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ntheo1340648707.jpeg

I think this simple act should reduce/make harder for scams to occur. It takes 1 min to take a picture and upload it. Scams could still occur but it'd take more effort.

For multiple sales, a picture of all figures together w/ a name card would be enough.

I'm not sure how it would be implemented for those who already have a sales ad. Maybe make it that recent sales ad up to a 1-month need a picture?

Let me know what everyone think about this.

Thanks for taking the idea into consideration.

kumasanmk8 år sedanShiaoran8 år sedanWould it be possible to show which of your own lists a figure is in, under the "Owned/Add to custom lists/Add to my favorites/Report/Buy" bar?Yep. Please let me know if I understood you right.Looks better than what I had suggested! Thanks.
Though I suggest that you make the text bold, as to make less confusion to those unfamiliar to the feature, just like "Add to my collection" is regular text, but "Owned/Ordered/Wanted" is bold, since it has already been altered by yourself, meaning what is shown is the result of your own setting.

I think this is a good idea, but at the same time there I'm sure there are some people who really can't take pics of things. Myself for example. I recently moved overseas, but everything I wanted to sell is still in the US. I have someone else ship them out, and I really doubt that person would be willing to take pictures and email them to me :/ I'm not even sure they know how lol.

I agree with Windsor, it's a nice idea but it should be optional.

Maybe people who want to sell things should be active users for a certain amount of time? Like 2 months or so?

Trishler8 år sedanIs it possible to have some pretty fonts for our profile?I think there is a way to change fonts but only slightly. Kinda like this but also like this so that makes it three fonts available. Not a whole lot but it's still possible to spice up the text on our profiles with them.

Opps. I was about to submit this post before I realised I didn't explain how to use the fonts. ^^:

Here's what I wrote to get the sentence above:Kinda like this but also like this so that makes it three fonts available.

Is it possible to add a spot for the number of parts in a figure entry? Many garage kits list the number of parts but it's forced to go under Further Information.

is it possible to implement a 'sort by' function for pictures in each individual item page?
ie. you could go to an item page, look at user photos and sort it by hits, power, rating like you can currently do on the browse pictures section.

I asked this some time ago as well.
Then I decided to fave only series (etc.), not characters at all :/

One thing that's in need of increasing are subscriptions. Between changes, comments, pictures, series, characters, product lines, manufacturers and forums, the maximum is reached very easily.

Kinda done.

I've got a few suggestions here, and I sincerely hope you'll look at them and think about them!

1. In your "pictures" area, maybe a cool thing to add would be to show how many pictures (your own taken and uploaded pictures, I mean) contain what item? For example, when looking at the picture section of a profile, I might see a list on the side (like the favorites list on the main profile) saying "Most Photographed Item - Figma Sayaka Miki: 129 Times," or just a list like "Figma Kyouko Sakura: 12 Times," "Figuarts Kamen Rider W: 10 Times," and so on.

2. When looking at your wishlist on your profile, wouldn't it make more sense, instead of... whatever is the method to deciding what shows up, for the highest ranked items on the wishlist to be there - rather than a two star or even one star thing I just happened to add recently?

3. The ability to quickly add an item without having to visit its page. For example, maybe when you hover over an item, under the usual info, there could be a "Add to my collection" prompt that opens the usual menu, and then "more," which would take you to the item's page.

4. ... This is more of a question, but... Does the "Chan" category really NEED sources? I mean it just seems so odd that you would HAVE the actual source for an image you found on, say, 4chan every single time - unless a source as vague as 4chan is acceptable?

5. Can it be possible to add a function where things can be done "en masse"? For example, if one took multiple pictures of a few figures, going through every single one and linking them to those figures is a pain - a system to just highlight the pictures and edit (or at least link) them all at once would be really helpful.

6. To that end, when one is editing info on a picture, after finishing - even if they went to the picture through their album - they are then taken back to the pool of all pictures, meaning when hitting "next" they would go to someone else's picture. A way to just stay in YOUR pictures when editing information would be helpful to all of us.

1. Kinda done.

5. manage.php?mode... and upload from the item page or add &fid[]=<id> to the upload page url.

6. manage.php?mode...

Thank you.

Um... Kinda, yes, but the "kinda" makes it "not really at all." The "recent" part, for one, isn't accurate, and for another, doesn't really accomplish anything - and just gets back to what I was saying about the wishlists on the profile. No one's interested in what you added five minutes ago or what you took a picture of today - they're interested in the things you added that you want the MOST and the things you've taken the MOST pictures of.

It's based on the 100 latest pictures.

You know there are people that uploaded dozen of thousand of pictures, so I do what I can to find a good compromise between useless-but-funny information calculation and performance. If I do it that way it's not because I'm a dumbass, you know. So a "thank you for considering my suggestion" would be more welcome than a comment explaining how stupid I am.
