His face looks really good for an anime character. Usually F4F is only good at more realistic stuff, or cartoonier designs like Mario or Sonic.

We've had a picture of the prototype for over a year, why show off a model of the face that isn't even sculpted now, lol. Unless they're trying to improve it. Definitely not too bad so far

The image for the face looks brilliant! Let's hope the real thing turns out as good. *_*

Statusunkown (2 år sedan) #13978692So uh I just noticed this figure, so what's taking so long for painted pictures?
I never really got anything from F4F mainly 'cause I got into figure collecting not too long ago and most of the statues that I would've liked from them (Wolf Link & Midna, Fierce Deity Link, Skull Kid) were all long sold out and ridiculously priced and I just stick to my 1/8th - 1/7th scales.
But damn would I be willing to get a Phoenix Wright statue :D

This is just what F4F does; they announce a boatload of stuff and then eventually get to progressing it to the point where they're ready to start pre-orders. Hell, some things come as a complete surprise and there's not even a rough of what they're doing; just a "Hey! Look! You can get this soon!".

They'll get to it eventually. All you can do is wait.

R_Dorothy (2 år sedan) #13971795Oh? You know folks who work there? Interesting.

Everything is conducted through their F4F Collector's Club on Facebook now. Alex and Chockles are very active in their conversations with customers/fans.

MostStrange (2 år sedan) #13966099Thanks. I might bring it up with some of the new staff members. They've had a few join since then. That's very disappointing.

Oh? You know folks who work there? Interesting. I'd really like to hope that they've at least made some improvements because for sure, at the very least, they needed to do something about the quality control at the factory. The personality of the staff I could take or leave.

I did decide to check out the F4F forums and they're basically dead anyway. The Mod I had a problem with hasn't logged on in a very long time.

R_Dorothy (2 år sedan) #13947415I'll copy and paste from a journal entry I made. I realized that these complaints are from two years ago and I have only bought one F4F statue in that time span (Dr. Eggman).

First4Figures: Things may have changed since I gave up on them, but they only had one woman managing the emails. It can actually take a month to get any response and she's in such a hurry to get it done with she might not really answer your question.

I got a broken Midna from the Wolf Link and Midna statue and was told I'd be sent out a replacement. A year later I heard people were finally starting to get theirs, so I emailed them again and once more had to give my address, meaning they forgot about me. When I got my replacement Midna, it had major defects on the hair. I gave up.

Then I got a factory sealed Metal Sonic from an eBay seller. For some extremely odd reason the base was actually covered in dust and scratches. I contacted F4F about it and basically their response was "LOL! Not our fault since you didn't buy it from us!". No apology, no assurance that they'd be looking into it and improving quality control.

When I got my Tails statue there was a stray paint mark, but other people fared far worse. At this point I aired my frustrations about their consistency in poor packaging and quality checks on their forums, at which point I was actually banned. The reason? "Having an axe to grind". I am not joking. I have a right to be pissed over the fact that statues of characters I love, and as such I should be excited to receive, are overpriced and arriving broken because F4F cares more about dollars than customers.

What makes it worse is that the people made moderators for the forums were kids taken off the street since no one from the company seems to have time to manage them. After his spat with me, that moderator actually went to a Sonic forum and made a crybaby rant that can be summarized like this: "Waaah! I have autism and people are being mean to meeeee!". Seriously. No offense to anyone who has autism, but that had NOTHING to do with me being upset with F4F's products, nor did I ever make any personal insults against him (I didn't know he was autistic at all). I only ever complained about F4F and he chose to take it personally.

To add to that, though, I realize that I didn't even bring up how their earlier statues were notorious for coming broken since they couldn't get the packaging right.

I also didn't talk about how their Knuckles statue was packaged so his legs were forced further apart than they should be and F4F's "solution" was to wait and see if they went back to their original place after taking them out since that was working for some customers.

I've also seen people on various forums talk about how statues are not holding up as time passes. On a Sonic forum someone claimed their Shadow statue fell apart for seemingly no reason at all.

R_Dorothy (2 år sedan) #10910960Unless things have changed, just an FYI that they're only nice until you wind up with a broken statue.
