Kommentarer Affording New Figures

  • I don't have time for a job as a student, so I usually round up all the money I have and sort them out depending on how much I need for everything.(books, food, character goods) I rarely need emergency funds because I'm very strict on my own limits, but when I do, I sell off extra stuff, ranging from figures to old textbooks, to round up the cash. I occasionally take out from my savings if I'm just a bit short.

I hate sounding like a broken record for those who read my responses, but I don't pre-order stuff so I never need 'emergency' funds. I buy everything on the secondary market (well sometimes I'm lucky and get a less popular figure from a store), so that means I can save my money and buy figures when I find them. If I needed emergency funds, I guess I'd ask for more hours at work.

If I want more stuff I try to ask for some extra hours at work.

I mostly use money from things like reselling old textbooks that I don't need anymore and gift money from holidays and birthdays. If I have to, though, I'll spend from my main source of cash.

So far I haven't had to use any of the options above. These days almost all of my figures are pre-ordered (they get annoyingly hard to find if I don't), so I have some time in advance to budget around release dates. This month is a pain since so many new figures are coming out.
