Kommentarer Selling: ebay auction vs store?

Ebay charges you if you want to set your store on vacation. It’s about 25 per month or some stupid crap.

As for me I use both Depop and Ebay while advertising on here. Wherever an item sell it’ll get deleted everywhere else. I’ve never had an issue doing this, but ultimately it’s up to you.

Personally I hate auctions because you’re relying on the other person to pay before doing anything and sometimes they don’t which wastes everyone’s time and possibly makes you lose a sale.

I list things on ebay, but I don't do an ebay store since you do get some free listings each month and that's enough for me. It really depends on what you want to do.

I've sold tons of items on Ebay, and I never set up a Store. I feel like regular auctions would work well for your needs, but there are some things to remember:

    1. Ebay gives you around 50 free listings each month. This means that you don't have to pay to list those items, and a free listing is only used up when the item sells. If the item runs out of time/doesn't sell, it doesn't eat up a free listing. (Edit to add: You still have to pay final Ebay fees on these listings.)

    2. Ebay fees are about 10% of each total sale. A $200 sale would bring a fee around $20. If you are using Ebay's shipping labels, there's also a percentage fee for that. Also, I believe Paypal does take a small fee out of your total as well.

    3. If a customer wants to combine shipping, if they send you a message BEFORE THEY PAY, you can send them a combined invoice with the new shipping cost. I put this information in all my listings, because I find it to be the easiest way to combine shipping.

I'd recommend not listing everything at once, so you don't get overwhelmed.

hmm, depends on pricing I suppose. Looks like $25 is the lowest tier and you get 250 auction/month, with a final value total of 9.15% instead of 10%. Not THAT great a deal but without it I think you get 50 free listings a month?
