Hi all!

So recently I received a package from Buyee.jp of a Gojo acrylic stand, but it arrived broke in half!

And of course I didn’t get extra protection for the item so I can’t get any refund for it. I wanted to give this as a gift for a friend - do you guys think it’s salvageable? What material do you recommend for fixing this without it being too noticeable?

I’ll give it a try then, thanks! c:

plasticizer1 månad sedan#102456823The go-to for acrylic jobs are acrylic cement. Rather than glue, it's a type of solvent that dissolves a layer of acrylic and chemically welds them together.
If going for the superglue option, make sure that the surfaces you're trying to bond together aren't too smooth. You may want to buff a bit with sandpaper beforehand.

Oh no! That's so unfortunate!! I've always feared this happening with acrylic stands. :( I don't have any tips for gluing it back together, but if you can't find a way to do it without it being visible, maybe give him a little belt or something similar?

As a Gojo collector all I could say is: damn.... I am truly so sorry this happened. :( Also one of my worst nightmares. I don't have any special tips on how to glue it maybe..

I read the title and thought Gojo died in the series.

Sorry to see what happened, though. That's rough.

I would try Zap A Gap. I use it on figures that break. I have a Nightwing figure with clear parts and I've used it on there with no problems and if you place it just right you can't tell that its broken.

That clean cut gives me an idea: Maybe try up-cycling it to resemble ENTRY #165588

Or others have said, try getting a new one depending on the aftermarket.

Augustusheimlich1 månad sedan#102427079Oof he got the Darth Maul treatment. But really, I'm sorry your stand broke. This is one of the prettiest Gojo stands.
Being a perfectionist, if it were me, I would buy a new one. I just can't settle for broken anything in my collection really. But it depends on the person. Because it's from you, I'm sure they'll love it. The break might even make the gift more memorable in some regards because there's a sort of story attached. It could even become something funny y'all joke about. I don't know if that makes any sense in writing but it does in my mind haha. If you want glue suggestions, I recommend RapidFuse. If you do get it though, use EXREME caution when using it. It's incredibly powerful and will bond with your skin as well as the plastic. The nice thing is though it dries in 30 seconds, and I've repaired Nendoroids, Medicom RAH figures, and my car's tail light, and it holds up every single time. I hope everything works out!

My thinking it’s our version of a “friendship necklace” XDXD

And thank you for the rec, I’ll give it a look! I prob would also buy another one, but I don’t wanna spend another $30 or more with additional coverage…
