!!This is not a discussion topic about liking or hating funkos thanks!!

So yeah i decided to just write this just cause... :p

Plenty of haters on funkos and i was among them... WAS.

Until i saw such cute how to train your dragon funkos and i bought the set on archonia plus toothless local pick up with hula stitch. And theyre so hnng cute :D picked em up for 20 euros as hula stitch is an exclusive he was a bit more expensive but he had box damage so i got him cheaper
See pic below for those two!

(stitch has upper teeth but a wrong angle sorry)

Atm I just have it with the monster type funkos, the human ones still arent my thing but even there i found an exception to the rule as im a huge fan of the witcher... i decided to hunt those funkos only to find out they go for insane prices and im a sad panda (if you happen to have and sell some, feel free to message me or a site that sells em below 25 eu each
But i did manage to get geralt on zavvi ^^ and im excited as he releases in october ^^ !
I also bought baby aurene for my bf as he plays guild wars 2 a lot. But that one is still on its way

I now also saw jack sparrow and stitch x angel keychain set plus flareon which tempt me too.. and thats where i probably stop before i get myself yet another collector hunt hobby XD
Haha or maybe i end up liking more, like vulpix and joey wheeler xD

Hula stitch is now part of my summer display theme ^^ and toothless is in the game room <3

Hope you enjoyed this ramble about funkos ^^ and maybe until next time.

Solarstormflare3 månader sedan#82332027Nice, toothless is cute! I have three funkos, Castiel from supernatural, Soul from Soul eater, and Blue Mercy from overwatch, which was a gift. I wouldn't display them with my main collection but i think they look nice on my bookshelf.

Yeah mine are also displayed separately ^^
Thanks x3 I agree.
The ones you mentioned look nice too ^^

heroizumi3 månader sedan#82332527I used to really like Funkos because they were inexpensive and there were tons of series that barely had any other merch, but now I'm a lot more picky. My favorites are probably Tokoyami (BNHA), Armored Titan (SnK) and the Balrog (LOTR). I'm hoping to sell off the majority of my others. Definitely monsters and animals look cuter as funkos. XD

Yeah I restrain myself and just buy only the ones I really need so I don't need to sell afterwards. Tho Hermione Keychain funko was impulse and will most likely be a gift for someone ^^

If you got the witcher funkos, I'm interested in buying or hula lilo ^^ since I'm looking for those :)

I agree they look better and I also am picky ^^

Sundae3 månader sedan#82342518The non-human characters definitely look better imo. I love my Audrey II; I even got the chase version from Amazon, so that was a nice surprise. That Stitch is really cute!
That being said I can understand why people collect them. They make a ton of licenses (some of which have no other merch), and they're cheap and easy to get in stores. I only have a few but I can understand why there's collectors. I just don't see the ones that are expensive now holding their value very well over the years, unless they actually are rare; they remind me of Beanie Babies since a ton are made then the artificial inflation sets in once they're retired.

Tbh I hope that's the case so I can get the witcher funkos. I just couldn't justify paying 99,50 for 4... My budget for funkos is 15 at highest. Except for super size funkos since they're more expensive from the start.

Thanks ^^ I love stitch too :)

Yeah I get collectors drift but I myself try not to get into that state and overpay :p

OH I checked those and they're nice indeed
And I guess you feel like the mouth isn't missing with most monster types. Like my toothless looks fine. But with for example Luna lovegood I really miss her expression

AgentDrafire3 månader sedan#82342437Maybe an unpopular opinion? But for me the longer I look at Funko pops, the better I think they look. The non humanoid ones especially are super nice (the ones you got are so cute, I think the Funko style really suits them well!), but some of the human ones really don't look as bad as people say they are...

I agree sure some don't look good but same applies to figs anyways...
With mouth they do look better tho! Without mouth stitch lacks the stitchness to him XD

Yeah they're not all bad and when I saw these irl that's where I was like awww they're good and not as bad as I thought. So I can't wait for the rest of the dragons to come

plasticizer3 månader sedan#82332399IMHO, the company and its designers are too focused on forcing the licensed characters through the Funko POP style mold that they're a tad devoid of personality. Even in the vinyl toy scene, I find them to be a little sterile and lacking -- especially compared to lines like Dunnys and Bearbricks.
But I guess they do have their uses as collector's items and affordable way to self-express your tastes in pop media.

Hmm well I'm not a POP dedicated fan, I just decided to pick some up that do look fine. And only alternative for these are actual toys.
I do agree that not all funkos are great but that isn't what the article is about anyways... On some funkos look is fine and no wobble issues with the monster types at least

Guys please dont be super negative here about funkos.

I'm not super crazy about Funkos, but I agree some of them can be cute. I have a couple ITEM #626470 ITEM #766290 but I couldn't imagine having a large collection of them. I wanted to get the Ouran set, but my order was canceled for...whatever reason and I don't want to have to pay an arm and a leg for a Funko. Also almost bought ITEM #697514 because I think this is one of those cases where the character translated well in Funko form. He's adorable.

I own only 1 Funko and it's a rare one because it was produced in very limited quantity and it's not great... I can't say I really see the appeal to them. I much prefer Dorbz but they haven't really made one of a character I like.
