Kommentarer Cocoa figures and their hair.

  • Figureditout6 månader sedan#74684511Awww. Hey, I mean it's a luxury problem. Being able to complain about the expensive figures one buys means life is good. :)
I will put her in the box once I found a replacement Cocoa. Waiting for the idol double with Rize from Emontoys. Or maybe the aquamarine one where she sits on the piano but that seems sort of dead? ITEM #604382 They release Chino and nothing was heard about it ever since.

Well, wonder festival is coming, maybe they will give an update on her :)

Figureditout6 månader sedan#74644995Ahhh no I better don't. I'm the sort of person with the art talent of a 5 years old.
I know I should not get angry over her. Appreciating everything else is sort of hard though because the entire figure is bad. Started with broken pieces when she arrived, continues with low quality structures and dye, finishes with the hair color. I think at this point I'll just get another Cocoa and put this one back in her box. I thought about selling her but because of the damage from transportation and my not completely straight glue job I'd not get enough money for her. The sad thing is at first I kinda liked her so I did not send her back like I should have, but with time I liked her less and less...
Appreciate your many replies and discussion though! <3

Pastels are not permanent, and pretty easy to use though! If she's so bad than yeah, put her back in her box and get a new one :) Also, I'm just happy to help you at least vent about your problems, I know how frustrating life can be, even with the smallest thing!

Auri6 månader sedan#74640404 If you wish to change your figures you could try with pastels (mungyo are easy to find and cheap on Amazon) and re-shade her hair a bit, making it more bearable to look at! Don't get angry about it though, it's not worth it! Try to appreciate everything else about it :)

Figureditout6 månader sedan#74636788Yeah. And I was only thinking about scaled figures. I have Cocoa by Plum and I'm so unhappy with her hair color. It's basically blonde with a bit of darkness but looks really washed out, galablue called the color sandy-blonde and that fits the description I believe. I have also seen her being made ginger several times, Emontoys did this and is going to do it again. Pulchra did it as well, and Goodsmile for the Nendo version.
It bugs me more and more as time with my Cocoa passes. In the beginning I didn't even realize, then I watched an episode and got irritated. And things pretty much escalated into pure hatred since then.

Well for Sakura I just accepted it, at least it's not brown for the new figures, she started getting new figures just some years ago, so I'm happy anyway. Auri6 månader sedan#74636614The quality of the figure might also influence it (prize vs scale vs trading).

Figureditout6 månader sedan#74636332So that would actually mean they did not make any random decisions but instead different eras of your figure had a different drawing style. Since the anime for is the order a rabbit only has one style, one could assume they might have taken manga or artwork as reference? Eventually.
Yes, it depends on what is the source of the figure, an illustration from a magazine, from the manga or the anime. There may be a lot of reasons for slight changes in colour. The quality of the figure might also influence it (prize vs scale vs trading).

Auri6 månader sedan#74635496Well in the first animated series from the 90s they decided she had to have chocolate brown hair, even though in the manga it is clearly a light blonde with red shadows. The big one doesn't pick up well in the photos, but it is actually the closest one to the manga hair colour, because that figure is based on an illustration. The one you chose and the pink one at the front are from the new anime series which has actually the correct blonde colour. The one on the front with the green dress is based on an old illustration from the manga, it's actually also transparent. I guess they have a problem getting this colour right.

Figureditout6 månader sedan#74635330OML! That's an incredible diversity of colors. Why is it they can't decide on one? If I had to pick one of yours to be close to strawberry-blonde it might be the blue one on the right?

Auri6 månader sedan#74635192A more obvious example of this problem, Sakura Kinomoto is actually some kind of strawberry blonde too, here you can see a comparison of my own Sakuras.
