Kommentarer Two of my Bootleg Figures

  • motakun1 år sedan#65978699So sorry to hear that. Was refund not possible at the store? That would be unfortunate. Piece of advice, for any GoodSmile Company items (this also applies to companies under their name like Phat, Orange Rouge and such) you can check out their partnership page. It’s a compilation of retail shops and online stores from around the world that can legally distribute authentic products from the company. partner.goodsmi... I’ve been using this page to avoid buying bootlegs as much as possible.
Sadly, refunds were not possible at that store, which should've been another warning to be honest! Thank you for that site, it will help a lot!

$200+ on bootlegs wow, I'm sure the realization must have been very upsetting. I've heard about these shops but I have yet to encounter one (thankfully) apparently not much can be done about them, as the laws aren't heavily enforced and the crime comes with minor repercussions, like a small fine or casual monitoring.

As this hobby can become increasingly expensive, one has to be very careful and have insight on the subject matter of determining a bootleg. This site is very helpful. Just donate them or have a bit of fun with them, so sorry this happened to you

Usually the "fake" o bootleg stores NOT SAY about the origin of figures.
I belive thats normal have 1 or 2 bootleg figures, especially when begins in this hooby.

i've the same Miku (my first one) and its obviously the diference.
Dont worry, for next one check in GS page or here...

    Don’t blame yourself to hard.
Sadly there is a point where you accidentally obtain one. It is the worst part of the hobby. But you already have have them and in a lot of places selling bootlegs is forbidden. Repainting then is a great idea. It is also a good way to learn (and test) some repairing methods. One has joints I saw. You can use those as spare joints if you break one of an original figure. You can also try to modify them and learning something about that. In the past it happened three times that I unknowingly bought a bootleg. The first I used to learn some gluing and repairing tricks. The second one was one my mom liked. I modified it with a LED light and gave it to her (she still has it on display). Whatever you do with them is up to you. :)

NayanMori1 år sedan#65821372Painting them is an awesome idea! I can't believe I didn't think of that before. I think that is what I am going to try and do with them, thank you!

Just jumping on this, there's groups on here and Facebook that are about nendoroid customising! I've very new to that hobby still but it's interesting ^^

lesser-robot-cat1 år sedan#65821268The shop took advantage of your trust, but the shame is on them, not you.
Since these figures exist, why not make the best of them? Get some green paint and pink clay and make your very own zombie apocalypse Miku. Spray paint them solid gold and make trophy waifus (worst pun ever, but I'm going to chuckle over it for a while). Use them as test dummies for painting tricks. Learning to patch these two today could make you an expert when a legit figure gets a scratch or ding later.

Depending on where you live it might be illegal to sell bootlegs, so keep that in mind!
