Thanks again for all the positive feedback on my reviews so far! To see my past reviews; click here: profiles.php?us...

For my next review I will do another brand new purchase! This one however is not technically mine...it's actually a present for my girlfriend. She let me open it and let me review it, however. Thanks again, Honey! Also this is not technically a figure...it's actually a set of 6 parts that go to other figures.

Directly from Good Smile Company, this is Nendoroid More Dress Up: Pajamas accessories for Nendoroid figures:

(Each photo can be clicked on to give a full-size view of the image, even if the image itself doesn't display).

In the package:

This is a set of 6 figures that comes directly from Good Smile Company. The set comes packaged together in one big box. The box type is a display-type box...meaning that it has a section in the front designed to tear in half and fold back; allowing the contents inside to be displayed (usually in a store, when the inside contents are being individually sold). While I could have done this to display how it works; I didn't want to damage/tear apart the box to do it.

Inner box, front:

http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/22/98dk.jpg

The larger box comes with 6 smaller boxes inside it; one for each type of figures (5 shown on the box and 1 secret). The smaller boxes inside are blind-type boxes...meaning that they have nothing on the outside that shows which specific accessory you're getting inside that particular box. Also the box only shows 5 of the types on the outside; leaving the one secret type hidden.

Inner box, back:

http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/849/35wa.jpg

With this type of box there is normally a full set of all types are included within the box. Depending upon how many types there are and how many figures come per box; there is a chance that a full set might not be included as well (for example 4 figures per box but 10 types in total); in which case buying more boxes is necessary to get a complete set...but also probably leaving more than a few extra duplicates leftover.

Fortunately for this set, a full set of each of the 6 types are included in this box (6 accessories per big box; 6 different types in total).

Contents:

http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/21/zccp.jpg

There's not much included with these...the pajamas themselves and a small instruction booklet. Inside the box the accessory comes wrapped in bubble wrap and then inside a sealed plastic bag. The instructions are really simple; 3 pages with the extra 2 being all text. The accessory comes fully assembled and ready to go.

All 6 pajamas:

http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/811/i8bj.jpg

As mentioned before, there are six different types of pajamas:

-- Pink
-- Blue
-- Black
-- Green
-- Yellow
-- White (Secret)

There are also two types of bodies:

-- Shirt type: Legs to the sides, hands to the floor (Pink, White, Blue)
-- Tunic type: Legs in front, hands on lap (Green, Black, Yellow)

Each color is only associated with one body type, so there's no need to worry about getting different combinations of color and body type: There are literally only 6 different types.

Alternate angles:

The pajamas all are static poses and do not move. The only moving parts are the arms. Each arm can move up or down only. The hands on both types do not come off; but the arms themselves can be removed. The legs are static however and don't come off or move. The bodies are also all one piece and do not come apart at all anywhere on them excluding the neck joint (a standard Nendoroid ball joint).

As full figures with heads:

These were designed specifically to be used as replacement/alternate bodies for standard Nendoroid figures. As such, they can be used with any Nendoroid, no matter what series, age or character. For this review, I used 6 different Black Rock Shooter characters; color coordinating them:

-- Black: Black Rock Shooter
-- Yellow: Chariot
-- Pink: Black Gold Saw
-- Green: Dead Master
-- Blue: Puchitto Rock Shooter
-- White: Strength

Attaching the heads is as simple to do with this set as it is with any Nendoroid: Simply put the head onto the ball joint and position as you see fit.

Overall:

Another great example of the kind of quality, detail and complexity expected from Good Smile Company with their products. While these are not full-fledged figures; they are really cool accessories that make for even more fun with already fun Nendoroid figures! With two different body types and 6 different colors; there are many mix and match options to choose from! Also these can be used with any Nendoroid figure, so the character options are virtually limitless!

The only negative aspects are that you need up to 6 different Nendoroids in order to use all of them at the same time (there are no heads included with the pajamas). Also while coming in a display box that suggests it could be sold at retail; as of current they are only sold directly from Good Smile Company and only for a limited time; the time of which has already passed (so getting them from a secondary seller is the only option now). In addition the only parts that move are the arms; limiting the poses greatly.

Recommended for everyone. Very simple and easy to assemble with the head/change out parts. Lots of play and display value.

Thanks for looking! Feel free to comment and rate the review! I hope you enjoyed the review! Be sure to check out my past reviews here: profiles.php?us...

MetalSamamon3 år sedan#16012961Yes, it should work. Most likely just a matter of balancing it right and making it look good. It might look kind of odd; with a tiny head and giant body, though.

Thanks MetalSamamon.
I agree that it is going to be odd.
I was actually exploring this oddity to make it fun by combining it haha.

I suppose it won't be much point to get this nendo pajamas if I am not looking for oddity or if I am not collecting nendos?

tanaka3 år sedan#16012939Ya, unfortunately.
Since the nendo pajama is sitting down, what if I use a figma neck joint with the figma head onto the nendo body? The joint is smaller of course and will be loose but at least it would be stable?

MetalSamamon3 år sedan#16012799No, they aren't compatible at all. They are two totally different sizes, sadly.

tanaka3 år sedan#16012511Thanks for the quick advice. Very informative. I really appreciate it :)
So the pegs for both nendos and figmas are not compatible right?

MetalSamamon3 år sedan#16003907The joint being used is the same type as a Nendoroid's neck joint; the ball with two pegs sticking out of it. It's not possible to put a Figma head on it and keep it attached; as the joints are two totally different sizes.
You could put a Figma head on it and just have rest in the socket (not attached); but it would weird because the body would be so big compared to the head (like putting a Figma head on any Nendoroid body).
Hope that helps. Thanks! ^^

tanaka3 år sedan#15999293I am curious. Does it make sense to attach a figma head onto one of these, just like a sample photo showing the Egashira head on a nendo pajamas? What kind of joint is being use for the neck?
